i quit the choir
so i could learn how to sing on my own
and i made a simple discovery:
the notes are arbitrary
and if "slang is the language of the heard"
well, aren't you hearing me?

they said, "please, would you step
to one side of the line, 'cos at
the end of time it's black and it's white,” right?

could you put a blanket around my shoulders

bar the passerby with shades
